Loft & Cellar is a three-level restaurant concept opening soon in the century old 7,500 square-foot space at the corner of 4th and Poplar Streets in the Third Ward. The fantastic location overlooks Romare Bearden Park and is walking distance to Bank of America Stadium, as well as numerous offices and high-rises.
Owner and Executive Chef Nicolas Daniels is looking forward to creating exceptional food in a fun, non-pretentious space. He plans to showcase cuisine from 32 different countries, and wants it to be, “the kind of place you could come and stay all night — starting with dinner downstairs and then moving upstairs for drinks and live music later in the evening.”
Each of the restaurant’s three levels will have a different feeling and purpose. The kitchen and a 20-person private dining room will be located in the cellar. The main floor will be the intimate restaurant, with high back booths and a 27-foot long poured cement bar. The airy lounge upstairs in the loft will host live music daily on a small stage.
