Max & Lola’s Aiming for Fall 2017 Opening in The Gold District

The Gold District in South End is getting a bodega this fall. Owners Holly Rodriguez and Minh Lai are bringing Max & Lola’s, named after their rescue dogs, to the old gas station at 1501 South Mint St. The location is just a few blocks from Craft Tasting Room and Growler Shop, Bank of America Stadium, the Rail Trail, and tons of apartment buildings.

Rodriguez and Lai live in nearby Wilmore, and are planning a comfortable, casual neighborhood market where you can bring your dog. You’ll be able to pick up your essentials, like eggs, milk, chips, meat, cheese, and beer without leaving the neighborhood. They’re also planning a bar with beer and wine on tap.
