Neighborhood Spotlight: Cotswold

Cotswold is arguably one of the most charming neighborhoods in Charlotte and is conveniently located near Center City and is bordered by some of the most prestigious neighborhoods in town, including Eastover and Foxcroft. The neighborhood is centered around Cotswold Shopping Center which features everything you could need in the way of boutique and big box shopping, local and chain restaurants, grocery, healthcare, banks and other businesses.

Homes in the neighborhood date back to the 1950s and are mostly split level or brick ranch homes. Lot sizes here are generous ranging in size from approximately half of an acre to over a full acre. This is a family-friendly neighborhood within a fantastic school district, and provides easy access to all that Charlotte has to offer.

Cotswold currently has 47 homes on the market representing 4.9 months of inventory, making this a fairly balanced market although still slightly favoring the sellers. Charlotte overall has 3.2 months of inventory which is particularly low for the city and more strongly favors the sellers.

The slight fluctuation in the average price per square foot over the last year has been mirrored by the average sales price of homes sold in the area.

While there are some established homes currently on the market, there is also plenty of new construction available. Homes on the market range from just over 1,000 square feet to over 5,500 square feet and range in price from $199,000 to $1.7 million.

Cotswold is one of the most desired and sought after communities in the city and is an ideal Old Charlotte neighborhood.
