Lenny Boy Brewing Company is opening a new location in South End, and plans on a grand opening event in late August or early September at 3000 South Tryon Street.

The South End brewery mainstay opened for business back in 2011 focused on brewing kombucha, and began to include beer brewing three years later in 2014. They sell their kombucha in 10 different states and have partnerships with Whole Foods and Earth Fare markets.

Hopes for the new location is that it will not only serve as a brewery, but will be a cultural center with “artists, music and exposure to kombucha, sour beers and traditional brews.”

The new brewery space will be much larger and will feature a 600 gallon wood barrel for larger sour beer production. There is also 31,000 square feet of warehouse space, and a tap room with 2,300 square feet of space complete with 24 taps that will feature their flagship beers and kombucha brews. Among many other features and additions, there will also be 1,000 square feet of patio space, plenty of parking and a 10,000 square-foot beer room.

It looks like South End just continues to get even cooler. For more info on the new Lenny Boy Brewing Company space, check out the article at Charlottefive.com.
