NoDa booms with new mixed-use developments

Commercial development projects just keep pushing forward in Charlotte, and now two more new mixed-use projects are in the works that will feature retail, fine dining and fantastic patio space. On the same strip as the original NoDa Brewing location in the Optimist Park/Willow Heights neighborhood, you can expect two new separate buildings with storefronts along North Davidson that will feature fine dining, desserts, spirits and casual dining with roll up windows that will create an indoor-outdoor environment in addition to plenty of patio space.

Another development has plans to take over a vacant lot at the corner of North Davidson and 37th Street. “NoDa Terrace,” as the project is currently named, will be home to a mixed-use development, however details on tenant specifics have yet to be confirmed. Most likely, there will be a retail, office, and residential component to the development. The backside of the property will be two stories high, and the side of the development along North Davidson will feature four stories.

These projects are still in the preliminary planning stages and public hearings are slated for later this year. There is no shortage of commercial development projects on the horizon, not only this neighborhood but all over Charlotte. The boom in residential construction is bringing an increase in commercial projects to the area, and there seems to be no end to the spreading construction or increasingly thriving market here .
