Roots Cafe Opens in South End

After a soft opening this weekend, Roots Cafe will officially open this week in the former Cluck ‘N Cup space at 2135 South End Drive.

pacific-darkRoots Cafe will be open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They’ll serve an extended breakfast/brunch menu on the weekend, and plan to add more prepared foods to grab and go. The food will use locally sourced ingredients, and the menu will offer everything from your morning coffee to a glass of wine in the evening. Owner/chef Craig Barbour was influenced by NYC cafes to create a comfortable atmosphere where people will want to hang out every day.

The menu features hot and cold sandwiches, various bowls (such as Soba), breakfast items, as well as draft beer and affordable wine by the glass or bottle.
