A combination restaurant, coffee shop, and brewery is opening at 6:30am on Monday, July 31 in an 8,000 square foot space just steps from the Rail Trail at 2911 Griffith Street. The Suffolk Punch (the restaurant/coffee shop) and sister company Hyde Brewing will open near the Blue Line’s New Bern Station, providing a destination for commuters to grab coffee/breakfast in the morning, and drinks/dinner in the evening.
There’s a large patio with rows of tables and retractable awnings, as well as an outdoor bar, which will serve coffee, tea and pastries from Whisk and Wood in the mornings, and beer, cocktails, and a menu that will include some soy-, dairy-, and gluten-free options.
Inside the main dining room there’s a large central bar with leather stools and 48 taps. There are also booths along the walls, and a small stage in back for live music performances. There’s also a open viewing area showcasing the brewery operations.
